“GPL Round 12: Thrills, Goals, and Surprises Across Match Venues”

The 12th round of matches of the Ghana Premier League witnessed intriguing actions and results across various match centres.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a 2-0 victory away to Aduana Stars to end their 4-game winless run, thanks to goals from Patrick Asiedu and Albert Amoah in both halves of the game.

This is the second home defeat to the Ogya boys having lost 2-1 to Nations FC in September.

Kpando Heart of Lions cruised past struggling Legon Cities at home scoring three unanswered goals in a one-sided game.   Goals from Kojo Obeng Jnr, Yakubu and Oppong for Hearts of Lions became the highest goal-scoring game of the round this weekend.

Medeama SC looks to have turned things around after putting 2-0 past Young Apostles to make it two victories on the bounce after last weekend’s 2-0 win against Bibiani Gold Stars. Four goals in two games is just impressive for the Yellow and Mauve outfit.

A game of identical strugglers saw Karela United narrowly ease past Dreams FC 1-0 away to climb the table just above the relegation region. This is Karela’s third win in twelve games of the season.

Bibiani Gold Stars reclaim the top spot thanks to Nations FC’s blip and a 2-0 triumph over relegation-bound Vision FC to bounce back to winning ways.
