‘Any doom prophecy against NPP will not stand’ – Diana Asamoah replies Owusu Bempah

Ghanaian Gospel artist cum Politician, Diana Asamoah recently expressed unwavering confidence in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) prospects of emerging victorious in the upcoming 2024 general elections, despite contrary prophecies.

In a bold response to several men of God, including Rev. Owusu-Bempah, who have prophesied success for NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, Asamoah emphasized her firm belief in the NPP’s triumph. Drawing from a biblical account, Asamoah referenced the story of King Hezekiah, who, upon being warned of his impending death by Prophet Isaiah, altered his fate through fervent prayer. She firmly believes that a parallel outcome is feasible for the NPP.

During an NPP campaign rally in the Ashanti Region on October 5, 2024, Asamoah underscored the government’s achievements, particularly highlighting the impact of policies like the Free Senior High School (SHS) initiative, which she believes will significantly contribute to their victory.

Making a passionate declaration in Twi, she stated, “In 2 Kings 2:1-7, Isaiah prophesied to Hezekiah that he would die. Hezekiah cried out to the Lord to reverse it based on his service to God, and it was reversed; the Lord added 15 more years to his life. Therefore, the NPP government, including Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, and NAPO, will not accept defeat based on our positive contributions such as the Free SHS. Any negative prophecy against us will not prevail; we will emerge victorious in the 2024 general elections.”

Asamoah’s remarks come in the aftermath of Rev. Owusu-Bempah praying for Mahama and expressing confidence in his favor with God during an NDC meeting with the clergy on October 1, 2024.

This particular prophecy has sparked varied reactions on social media, with some individuals questioning Owusu-Bempah’s statement given his known affiliation with the NPP.
