Annor Walker Clarifies Pre-Match Comments – It was for promotional purposes
Vision FC’s Technical Director, Annor Walker, has explained that his bold pre-match remarks about beating Hearts of Oak within 25 minutes were intended to promote the game, not to belittle the opposing side.
The Ghana Premier League encounter between Hearts of Oak and Vision FC ended in a 1-1 draw at the Nii Adjei Kraku Park.
Speaking after the match, Walker emphasized that his comments were aimed at attracting fans to the stadium early, rather than showing disrespect to Hearts of Oak.
“Hearts is a big club, I have a lot of respect for them,” Walker told Asempa FM. “My pre-match comments were for promotional purposes, not meant to disrespect them.”
Hearts of Oak took the lead just before halftime through Kelvin Osei Asibey’s clinical finish, but Vision FC responded strongly in the second half.
Adjetey Sowah scored a superb equalizer, curling the ball past goalkeeper Benjamin Asare after a poor clearance from Hearts defender Raphael Amponsah.
The draw leaves Hearts in sixth place with 41 points, six points adrift of leaders Asante Kotoko, while Vision FC gained a valuable point as they aim to climb the standings.
The result highlights the competitive nature of the Ghana Premier League, with teams battling for position as the season nears its climax.
