National Chairman of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has added his voice to the calls of the 1992 constitution to be amended.
Speaking on Ahotor FM’s morning show dubbed Adekye mu nsem with Citizen Kofi Owusu, the former minister of Local Government Hon. Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo says that the amendment of the 1992 constitution is long overdue and such should be the motive and a work force currently as a nation and not on unimportant things.
He said that he will not single out a portion of the constitution which needs amendment but it is a thing that should be done.
Reacting to Nana Ado’s comment on making assembly elections partisan, He said the needful thing to be done, is for Nana Addo to think of better ways to make the constitution work progressively as the people agree.
According to him making the MMDCES partisan will not be helpful to the country.
The National Chairman of the NDC says the NPP has vindicated the NDC with their ongoing constituency elections as a policeman in uniform were seen voting at the internal elections of the NPP.
Chairman Ampofo says that’s too odd even though to him is not surprising; he mentioned that it’s not normal too to be happening.
According to him the NDC will never do such thing in their elections.
This was in an interview on Ahotor FM’s morning show dubbed Adekye mu nsem.
He is surprised that a president who is known as a human right lawyer could not in anyways speak about the human right report released by the US department in his 30th Anniversary of the 1992 constitution Speech.
He said Nana addo should be shamed and even apologize to Ghanaians for failing to put the country on truck with the constitution he fought against.
