The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashaiman Constituency recently organized a health screening exercise for residents of Ashaiman and the surrounding communities. The event took place at Ashaiman Tulaku No. 1 and attracted a large number of people who benefited from various health services provided free of charge. Alhaji Salifu Zakaria, the program’s organizer and National Security Officer in charge of the Golden Jubilee Tema Port, spoke to the media about the initiative. He revealed that the screening was conducted in partnership with Direct Aid, an organization that supported the event by helping to provide free medicines to those in attendance. Zakaria emphasized that the partnership was crucial in ensuring that the health needs of the community were effectively addressed through the screening.
This health screening exercise is not the first organized by Zakaria.
