Black Stars center back, Alexander Djiku put up an impressive performance against Manchester United in the Europa League Round three clash last night.
Djiku had the highest rating among both teams, starting alongside Soyunku for Fenerbahce, Djiku played the entire 90 minutes, providing a solid performance at the heart of defense. With an international rating of 7.8, Djiku eclipsed players of both teams.
Deployed at right back in the second half, the Ghanaian pulled the breaks on Manchester United stalwart Alejandro Garnacho. His relentlessness coupled with strong positional awareness helped Fenrbache to hold Manchester United to a 1-1 scoring draw.
Djiku made three crucial clearances, blocked one shot, made five interceptions, and successfully executed seven tackles.
