Ghanaian actress and social media personality Akuapem Poloo has criticised broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah following her controversial comments about motherhood.
The controversy started after Nana Aba, speaking on Star FM’s Morning Starr on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, said she might not have had a child if she had known then what she knows now.
She, however, explained that she is content with having one child and wants to give her son the best while enjoying the rewards of her hard work.
Reacting in a video, Akuapem Poloo questioned the message such comments could send to young people, particularly considering that Nana Aba’s son could hear about his mother’s statement.
She wondered how the young boy would feel knowing that his mother had suggested she might have made a different decision about having him if she had known better.
Akuapem Poloo further argued that even if Nana Aba had regrets about motherhood, she did not necessarily have to express them publicly. She also warned: “When he abandons you in the future, don’t come and complain.”
The exchange has sparked conversations on social media about the realities of motherhood, a woman’s freedom to express her parenting experiences and the emotional impact such statements could have on children.
