Tema, Ghana – As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of Ahotor 92.3 FM, the Chief Executive Officer of Universal Multimedia, Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, held a special meeting with both former and current staff of the station to reflect on its remarkable journey over the past decade.
The event took place on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Lashibi and brought together a host of media personalities who have contributed to the station’s legacy.
Among the distinguished attendees were Okyrefour, Onantefuor Addai Muninkum, Akosua Sekyibea, Daakyehene Kofi Amoabeng, Nana Adu, Adwumawura Yaw Nkrumah, Adwoa Frimpomaa, DJ Larso, and other seasoned broadcasters who once graced the airwaves of Ahotor FM.
In his remarks, Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo expressed deep appreciation to the founding team for laying a solid foundation, and to the current staff for their resilience and commitment in keeping the station thriving despite numerous challenges over the past ten years.
“Your hard work, perseverance, and belief in the vision of Ahotor FM have brought us this far,” he said, adding that the future of the media house looks even brighter.
He emphasized that the next chapter would demand greater dedication, innovation, and continuous personal development from all staff members.
Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo encouraged employees to aim higher, whether through further education or other self-improvement initiatives, assuring them of management’s full support.
He also announced a major milestone in the station’s journey the upcoming launch of Ahotor TV, which will officially climax the 10th anniversary celebrations.
The television station, he noted, will expand the media brand’s reach and impact in Ghana’s broadcasting landscape.
Representing the Board Chairman, Dr. Kwesi Nyantakyi, board member Dr. Sefa Twum commended the hardworking staff for their dedication and commitment to excellence.
He reaffirmed the board’s pride in the team and assured them of continued support as Ahotor FM steps into a new era.
The gathering was not only a moment of reflection and appreciation but also a celebration of unity, vision, and purpose among the Ahotor family.
