Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has alleged that the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) committee set up to assess its performance in the 2024 elections is being used as a tool to undermine the party’s flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to Adwoa Safo, the committee’s real agenda is not an objective review of the party’s electoral performance but rather a calculated effort to shift blame onto Bawumia and tarnish his political reputation.
She warned that such internal divisions could weaken the party ahead of future elections.
“There are clear signs that this committee is being weaponized to discredit our flag bearer instead of conducting an honest assessment of what went wrong,” she stated. “If we truly want to rebuild and move forward, we must be transparent and fair in our review process.”
