Actor Uche Maduagwu Criticizes 2Baba’s New Fiancée, Calls for Her Resignation

Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has strongly condemned Edo State lawmaker Natasha for accepting a marriage proposal from singer 2Baba amid his ongoing separation from his wife, Annie Idibia.

Taking to Instagram on February 13, 2025, Maduagwu expressed his outrage, calling Natasha’s decision “morally bankrupt” and a disgrace to the Edo State House of Assembly.

He wrote, “Natasha, stop ridiculing the image of the Edo State House of Assembly with this buffoonery. Accepting a marriage proposal from a married man in public is the height of moral bankruptcy.”

Questioning Natasha’s integrity, he further criticized the impact of her actions on Edo State’s reputation: “Why are you making Edo State the center of ridicule in Nigeria? In the history of the Edo State House of Assembly, no member has ever displayed this level of moral turpitude.”

In a separate post, Maduagwu also rebuked 2Baba for publicly embarrassing Annie Idibia. He then called for Natasha’s immediate resignation, arguing that her actions undermine her credibility as a lawmaker.

“Even if 2Baba is spiritually confused, we expect better from the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo House of Assembly. Natasha, would you attempt such preposterous behavior if you were a legislator in America, the UK, or Ghana? If you cannot uphold moral decorum in public, how do you intend to represent the great people of Edo State effectively? Kindly resign.”

Maduagwu’s criticism follows 2Baba’s public proposal to Natasha, which came after widespread rumors of their relationship.

The singer has since confirmed his intentions to marry her, stating that Annie would be fine.
