Accra Lions Coach Expects Tough Test Against Kotoko

Accra Lions coach Rainer Kraft is bracing his team for a challenging match against Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

The Accra-based club, fighting for survival, comes off the back of a morale-boosting win over Basake Holy Stars.

Lions currently sit 16th on the table and desperately need a win to boost their survival chances.

“We need a win to avoid relegation,” Kraft emphasized, highlighting the importance of the upcoming match.

Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, are gunning for the league title and will be looking to capitalize on their top spot. Kraft acknowledged the difficulty of the task ahead, describing Kotoko as “a big big favourite in this game.”

The German coach returned to Ghana at the beginning of the year to take over the reins at Accra Lions, replacing Ibrahim Tanko.

With a tough match ahead, Kraft will be looking to inspire his team to pull off a surprise result against the league leaders.
