Accra Great Olympics Dissolves Management And Technical Team Following Relegation from GPL

Accra Great Olympics Football Club has announced the dissolution of its management and Technical team following the team’s relegation from the Ghana Premier League 2023/24 .

Accra Great Olympics dropped to the division one league after the failed to accumulate the requisite points even after given a walk-over points when RTU failed to honor their last match of then Ghana Premier league.

This drastic measure comes in the wake of a disappointing season that saw the storied club fail to retain its top-tier status and the decision, revealed in an official statement by the club, marks a significant shake-up intended to address the failures of the past season .

The club cited the need for a fresh strategic direction and a comprehensive overhaul of its management practices as key reasons behind the dissolution.

Accra Great Olympics has struggled in recent years to compete consistently at the highest level of Ghanaian football. The relegation has been a severe blow to both the club and its supporters, who have long hoped for a return to the club’s former glory.

In the official statement of the club after an emergency meeting with the board of Directors , the club expressed gratitude to the outgoing management and technical team for their efforts and dedication but emphasized the necessity for change. A new Administrator has been appointed to stir the affairs of the club depending on when new management and technical team will be put up.

Accra Great Olympics will now play in the Access Bank Division One from next season .
