Abdul Fatawu Issahaku Set for Leicester City Pre-Season
Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has expressed confidence in his readiness to join Leicester City’s pre-season training after a lengthy rehabilitation period.
Issahaku suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola in Luanda, forcing him to miss the remainder of the Premier League season.
Despite the setback, Issahaku reported a successful rehabilitation process, thanking the club’s medical staff, management, and players for their support.
“I have been working so hard. My rehab has been so good with the people, the physio, the management, and the players. Everyone has been so supportive of me,” he said. “I’ll be ready before pre-season.”
Issahaku expressed his eagerness to return to the pitch, stating, “I can’t wait to be back on the field, running again, fighting for the badge as always.”
The Ghana international had a promising start to his Premier League career, providing an assist against Tottenham Hotspur and ranking among the top five dribblers in the league before his injury.
With Leicester City relegated to the English Skybet Championship, Issahaku will look to help the team secure promotion back to the Premier League. His determination and fitness will be crucial in the upcoming season.
