The Wednesday 26th April, 2017 edition of Ahotor Fm’s ‘Heroes of Our Time’ with Akyena Brantuo was truly a night of blissful blessings with Ghana’s gospel brightest Star, Joyce Blessing.
The VGMA 2013 album of the year award winner trilled fans on Ahotor Fm not only with her hit songs on her previously released albums but was kind to refresh everybody’s thirst with her latest tracks on her just released 4th Agyebum album, which promises to be her biggest production in music yet.
But songs were not the biggest story of the night. No. It was the story of the life of a successful Ghanaian musician, Joyce Blessing, nurtured in a broken home, made a street hawker, signed to menial works in her adopted mission house and working tirelessly to feed a sick mum and other relatives.
Little wonder she dropped out of school. Yet God picked her up, and polished her until she is now the brightest star.
Indeed persons who called into the program expressed deep respect and admiration for her works but most especially for allowing God to lift them up using the story of her life.
Joyce Blessing is married with two kids.
