A Call to Action: Global Black Solidarity with Burkina Faso on Africa Liberation Day

Today, a coalition of Black leaders, organizations, media, and influencers worldwide issued a powerful and urgent call to action: Stand in unwavering solidarity with President Ibrahim Traoré and The Alliance of Sahel States on Africa Liberation Day, May 25th, 2025.

This march, organized by the Economic Fighters League (EFL) with solidarity and support
from The Rastafari Council of Ghana, Jamaica Affairs Ghana, and over 50 local organizations, is not merely symbolic—it marks a critical inflection point in the ongoing struggle
for African liberation, sovereignty, and self-determination.

Under President Traoré’s fearless leadership, Burkina Faso has emerged as a beacon of resistance against neocolonial domination and foreign manipulation. The global Black community now rises to echo and amplify this bold stance.

This is a message to the West and all institutions that continue to uphold and benefit from its
oppressive systems: The era of exploitation, control, and silence is over.

Black people globally are awakening, uniting, and mobilizing in roho ya wakati (Swahili “spirit
of the time”). We will no longer be divided and conquered by colonialism.

This international campaign seeks to mobilize local and global communities to support the
sovereignty of Burkina Faso and all indigenous peoples.

We call on all Black leaders, organizations, media, and influencers worldwide to participate in this movement and uplift the
voices of Burkina Faso and all nations breaking free from foreign entanglements.
