Member of Parliament for Wa Central in the Upper West Region, Hon. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, has expressed strong disapproval of reports that local government officials are allegedly selling job opportunities intended for the people back to them.
Pelpuo stated that during the NDC’s time in office, job placements were not monetized, and he is disappointed to see such practices under the NPP government, especially considering that the people entrusted them with the opportunity to lead.
In a recent media discussion, Pelpuo claimed that under the NPP, jobs are being sold for as much as 2,000 Ghana cedis to unemployed individuals.
He recalled that during the NDC administration, nurses and teachers were posted without any fees, emphasizing that the current government’s practices are burdensome for the people it promised to serve.
The MP criticized the current government, describing it as self-serving and lacking compassion for the struggles faced by Ghanaians.
He urged citizens to remember the NDC’s track record of good governance, transparency, and accountability under John Mahama and consider voting the party back into power to address the challenges created under the NPP’s administration.
