I will make the Yendi-Chereponi road a priority – John Mahama

During a visit to the Malba Palace in Chereponi as he began his tour of the Northern Region, the Chief of Chereponi urged NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama to address a pressing issue: the deteriorated state of the Chereponi-Yendi road.

The road, which has suffered from years of neglect, has become a major source of frustration and hardship for residents.

Musah Nanyame, spokesperson for the Chereponi Chief, conveyed the chief’s concerns, explaining the toll the road’s condition has taken on daily travel.

“Traveling on the Yendi-Chereponi road has become a difficult and exhausting ordeal,” Nanyame said. “It’s been left unattended since you left office, and we are counting on you to prioritize this repair if you win the upcoming election.”

The paramount chief of Chereponi, speaking through his spokesperson, also called on the NDC to lead a clean and peaceful campaign.

The chief expressed confidence in John Mahama’s chances of winning the December 7th polls, citing the former president’s efforts and commitment to the Northern Region.

In response, John Mahama expressed dismay at the current state of the Chereponi-Yendi road.

“I didn’t expect to see this road in such a poor condition after eight years,” he remarked, surprised that the NPP government had neglected it for so long.

John Mahama pledged that if elected, he would make the repair and upgrading of the Yendi-Chereponi road a top priority, ensuring safe and reliable travel for the people of Chereponi and surrounding communities.
