I’m now richer than people I looked up to – Burna Boy declares

Nigerian Singer, Burna Boy proclaimed himself as the richest Nigerian artist more than the people he looked up to.

According to him, no other musician has earned more in the past four years than the Grammy Award winner.

The celebrated Afrofusion artist, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, recently expressed his financial triumph on his verified Instagram account, although the post has since disappeared. Burna Boy reflected on his journey, emphasizing that hard work and determination can lead to extraordinary outcomes.

He underscored the importance of recognizing everyone’s potential, suggesting that anyone can achieve greatness. He shared, “Growing up, it seemed that only politicians and oil tycoons were the ones making significant money, followed by individuals in the ‘G’ business. Music wasn’t even recognized as a path to wealth.” “Now, here I am, an unconventional black artist from Port Harcourt, surpassing 90% of those I once viewed as financial icons.

This is why I never underestimate young people; they could be the next Elon Musk, typing this very message tomorrow,” he noted. Jude Okoye, a music executive and sibling of Paul and Peter Okoye from the famous P-Square group, also declared Burna Boy to be Nigeria’s wealthiest artist.

He revealed that Burna Boy’s earnings in the past four years are estimated between $80 million and $100 million. “Anyone making significant money right now is Burna Boy.

I can assure you; he has earned at least $80 to $100 million in the last four years alone. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise; Burna Boy is the richest, I’m telling you,” Okoye said during an Instagram Live session with radio host Daddy Freeze.
