Head coach of the Black Satellites, Desmond Offei was full of praise for Togo following their 1-1 draw in the ongoing WAFU Zone B U-20 qualifiers.
Speaking at his post match conference, Desmond Offei debunked any idea of Ghana playing for a draw because they knew that was enough to secure qualification. He believes credit must be given to Togo.
“Not really, if you see how we started the game. We were enthusiastic, very determined, hungry but all in all once again we have to give credit to the opponent because they are the ones who caused our fall of energy. We had to dig deep, once again we are happy we qualified”
The WAFU Zone B U20 Championship serves as a key qualifier for the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations. The Black Satellites need to book a spot in the finals to secure qualification to the U-20 African Cup of Nations.
