Black Satellites head coach Desmond
Offei has expressed his satisfaction after securing qualification to the semi-finals of the WAFU Zone B under-20 qualifier.
Ghana booked qualification to the semis with a 1-1 draw against Togo in their last group match. With 5 points in the bag, the team are off to the semis.
In an interview, Head Coach Desmond Offei couldn’t hide his excitement. The young tactician was pleased with the outcome.
“We are very happy. I think the first step in every tournament is the qualification to the semis and I think our focus is now on the semis. I will like to congratulate my boys because they fought really hard for this. Togo they fought really hard for this. It wasn’t really easy at it all our boys did well and we are really happy we are in the semis”
The WAFU Zone B U20 Championship serves as a key qualifier for the 2025 Africa U20 Cup of Nations. The Black Satellites need to book a spot in the finals to secure qualification to the U-20 African Cup of Nations.
