Hon. Emmanuel Kwesi Bedzrah, MP for Ho West, emphasized that any attempts to challenge him for his seat in the majority section of Parliament would be firmly resisted. He noted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) members are seated correctly in Parliament and will not tolerate any interference.
Bedzrah remarked that no specific seat belongs to any member in the house, and since the NDC members arrived first, they have chosen their spots.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) members, who had earlier staged a walkout, are awaiting a decision from the Speaker on whether a Supreme Court ruling will be enforced.
As of now, the NDC MPs are occupying the majority side of Parliament while the NPP members remain absent, awaiting the Speaker’s arrival to resume proceedings.
Bedzrah also assured that, despite the tensions, there would be no violence in the chamber, as all MPs are expected to comport themselves.
