Asante Kotoko Moves To Lock Down Goalkeeper Frederick Asare With Three- Year Extension
Kumasi Asante Kotoko is pulling out all the stops to secure their first-choice goalkeeper, Frederick Asare, for the long haul, offering a new three-year contract extension.
The Black Stars shot-stopper, whose current contract runs until August 2025, has been a defensive powerhouse for the Porcupine Warriors since his arrival from Accra Lions in 2022. This season alone, Asare has played four matches, keeping three clean sheets and conceding just one goal in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign.
With his stellar performances solidifying his reputation as one of the top goalkeepers in the league, Kotoko is eager to extend his stay until 2028, reinforcing their goalkeeping department for years to come.
Asare’s commanding presence has been key to Kotoko’s unbeaten start, and the club is determined to keep him as they chase another Ghana Premier League title.
If the deal goes through, Frederick Asare will remain a cornerstone of the team’s defense, bringing stability and experience to their championship pursuit.
