TNA Stadium Belongs To The Assembly Not NSA – Regional Minister Declares
Western Regional Minister and MP for Takoradi, , Honorable Dr. Kwabena Okyere-Mensah Darko, has thrown his full support behind the Tarkwa Municipal Assembly’s push to control the newly constructed TNA Stadium.
In an interview on another platform, Honorable Okyere Darko emphatically stated that the stadium was meant for the community, not the National Sports Authority (NSA), and firmly believes the Assembly should be in charge of its management.
“Everyone knows the stadium was built for the Assembly, I strongly believe the Assembly should be at the helm.”
The Minister criticized centralized governance, stating that it strips local communities of their ability to address their needs.
“When you centralize, people don’t feel obligated to respond to the community’s demands , the Assembly must be held accountable, and I stand by this today, tomorrow, and forevermore “
Dr. Okyere-Mensah Darkoh didn’t mince words, vowing his unwavering support for the Assembly’s management bid.
