Ghana recorded a 2-0 win over Niger in their second group match at the WAFU U-20 Zone B tournament thanks to a brace by forward Aziz Musibau on Sunday afternoon in Togo.
Following a 2-2 draw against Benin in their first. Ghana entered the match fired up for their first win. Both teams battled failed to score in the first half.
Back from recess, Musibau opened the scoring just after the hour mark with a long-range shot that slipped past the Niger goalkeeper. He pounced in the 73rd minute with a close-range finish, securing all three points for Ghana.
The win leaves Ghana on top of their group with four points. The Black Satellites are in pole position to qualify to the next stage of the competition.
