Recognize this election as a crucial opportunity to reset the country – Abraham Koomson to Workers

The Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), Abraham Koomson, has passionately called on Ghanaian workers to unite and take decisive action by voting out the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

According to Mr. Koomson, the policies of the current NPP government have been detrimental to the livelihoods of workers, leading to economic hardships, job losses, and instability in several industries.

Speaking on Ahotor FM’s Yepe Ahunu show with host Nana Dogbe, Mr. Koomson urged workers across the nation to recognize this election as a pivotal moment to effect real change.

He emphasized that the well-being of workers is at stake and that the right leadership, coupled with worker-friendly policies, is crucial in turning the country’s fortunes around.

Abraham Koomson, who represents the interests of workers, expressed deep concern over the dire conditions they face under the NPP administration.

He highlighted the closure of several banks by the government as one of the key issues that have exacerbated the struggles of many workers, especially those in the financial sector, who have lost their jobs as a result.

“The closure of banks and the economic mismanagement has worsened the already precarious situation for workers in Ghana and we must come together to vote the NPP out from power” Mr. Koomson noted.

He stressed that the time for workers to stand up for their rights and protest through the ballot box has come.

He encouraged workers to vote massively for a government that prioritizes their needs and commits to resetting the economy to one that is inclusive and fair for all.

Abraham Koomson expressed confidence that with the collective voice of Ghanaian workers, the current government can be voted out, paving the way for a brighter and more secure future for the workforce.

“We need a government that understands the struggles of workers, a government that is ready to make workers a priority. The NPP has not lived up to that expectation, and it’s time for change,” he concluded.
