NPP qualifies to write a book on How to destroy an Economy in 8 years – John Mahama

John Dramani Mahama, the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has voiced deep concerns over the state of Ghana’s economy under the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

John Mahama, who served as president before handing over to the NPP, lamented that the economy he left in good health has deteriorated due to poor leadership, especially under President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia.

Mr. Mahama criticized the NPP’s handling of the economy, remarking that their governance over the past eight years has led to soaring prices of food and services.

He quipped that the NPP could write a book on “how to destroy an economy in eight years,” suggesting it could be a profitable venture for them in opposition.

“I left a healthy economy for Akufo-Addo and his partner Bawumia, but look at where we are now. Prices have skyrocketed, and they should consider writing a book on economic destruction, it might earn them some money when they’re out of power,” John Mahama stated.

As part of his #Mahama4Change2024 campaign, Mahama embarked on a two-day tour of the Greater Accra Region, engaging local communities and presenting his vision for the upcoming December elections.

His discussions focused on his 24-Hour Economy policy, which aims to address the country’s pressing challenges and provide practical solutions to revitalize the economy.

John Mahama emphasized that his campaign is about offering real change and a better future for Ghanaians especially the youth, outlining the key reforms he intends to implement if re-elected as President.
