John Dramani Mahama, the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has confidently declared that the party will secure a decisive victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Mr. Mahama expressed his belief that the NDC will win the election outright in the first round, avoiding the need for a runoff.
Addressing a crowd in Ningo Prampram as part of his #Mahama4Change2024 campaign tour in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Mahama urged Ghanaians to reject the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its leadership.
He stressed that the youth of Ghana cannot afford to gamble with their future any longer.
Reflecting on the disappointment many feel under the current administration, he reminded voters that the call to “try” President Akufo-Addo had failed disastrously, leaving the nation in a state of frustration and hardship.
John Mahama further took the opportunity to educate voters on how to easily identify the NDC on the ballot.
He acknowledged that the party would appear as number 8 on the ballot paper but encouraged supporters to look for the recognizable umbrella symbol and it’s colours, which represents the NDC, for easy identification and a confident choice come election day.
In his speech, Mr. Mahama highlighted the urgency for change, emphasizing that the NDC offers a new path for the country, one focused on addressing the concerns of everyday Ghanaians, especially the youth, who have been disproportionately affected by the current administration’s policies.
He called for unity and determination, urging the people to rally behind the NDC for a brighter and more prosperous future.
