NDC Insight alleges NPP and Dr. Bawumia are undermining DVLA integrity, issuing driver licenses to unqualified individuals.

Accra, Ghana – Dr. Anthony Sorkpah, Communications Officer for NDC Insight, has raised serious concerns regarding the recent actions of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in relation to the issuance of driver licenses in Ghana. The integrity of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is being compromised as unqualified individuals are reportedly receiving driver licenses without undergoing the necessary training.

Recent observations around Ayawaso West Wuogon revealed troubling practices, with youths being approached to sign up for free driver licenses without following the correct procedures. Witnesses reported that this initiative appears to be an attempt by the NPP and Dr. Bawumia to secure political power through dubious means. “This is the lowest the NPP and Dr. Bawumia will stoop to in their quest for power. They are clearly more concerned about their personal interests than the welfare of Ghanaians,” Dr. Sorkpah remarked.

NDC INSIGHT ALLEGES NPP AND DR. BAWUMIA ARE UNDERMINING DVLA INTEGRITY, ISSUING DRIVER LICENSES TO UNQUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS

Dr. Sorkpah highlighted the grave risks posed by allowing individuals without proper driving education to operate vehicles on our roads. “The safety of our citizens is at stake. A person holding a driver license without the requisite training endangers not only their own life but also the lives of countless others on the road. This reckless behavior could lead to an increase in fatal accidents, putting our nation at serious risk,” he stated.

Moreover, this incident echoes allegations of the NPP distributing free health insurance cards in a bid to sway voter sentiment ahead of the upcoming December elections. “These actions prove that the NPP is not seeking power for the betterment of our nation but rather for their own selfish gains. We must not allow individuals who engage in such corrupt practices to hold positions of power,” Dr. Sorkpah urged.

NDC Insight calls upon Ghanaians to recognize the dangerous precedent being set by the NPP and to vote wisely in the upcoming elections. “We must prioritize the safety and development of our nation over the self-serving interests of a few. Let us not allow our beloved Ghana to fall into the hands of those who are corrupt and lack integrity,” Dr. Sorkpah concluded.

Vote JM, Vote No. 8, and Vote NDC.
