Stephanie Okereke Linus has been confirmed as a member of the jury for the Zuma Film Festival

Nigerian renowned actress and filmmaker, Stephanie Okereke Linus has been selected as a member of the jury for the upcoming Zuma International Film Festival (ZUFF). The festival is set to take place in Abuja from December 1 to 5, 2024.

Stephanie Linus will join a panel of distinguished film experts to evaluate the submissions and be a part of this exciting event.

The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) has revealed that it has received an impressive total of 3,120 film submissions from various regions and countries, including Iran, India, the United States, Spain, France, and Nigeria. The theme for the 14th edition of the festival is ‘Digital Renaissance: Embracing the Future.’

According to Dr. Ali Nuhu, the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the NFC, the Zuma International Film Festival is not just an event, but a movement that promotes Nigeria’s cultural and creative economy. The festival aims to create opportunities, empower the youth, and encourage collaborations across borders. This year’s focus is on the transformative power of digital technology in filmmaking.

Stephanie Linus is celebrated for her exceptional contributions to the film industry and has garnered numerous awards and nominations throughout her career. Her accolades include the 2003 Reel Award for Best Actress, the 2006 Afro Hollywood Award for Best Actress, and three nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2005, 2009, and 2010.

In recognition of her outstanding work, she was honored with the national title of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic, MFR, in 2011. Stephanie Linus’ presence on the ZUFF jury further elevates the prestige of the festival and underscores her status as a respected film expert.
