NDC Insight Urges Ghanaians Not to Reward NPP for Economic Mismanagement.

Dr. Anthony Sorkpah, Communications Officer for NDC Insight, emphasized the stark contrast between the promises made by the NPP during their campaign and the current state of the economy. “When Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia came to power, they promised to take Ghana to the next level in economic development, and many Ghanaians believed them,” he stated. “Today, we are witnessing a collapsed economy, primarily due to reckless borrowing that has not translated into tangible development.”

Addressing the youth of Ghana, Dr. Sorkpah encouraged them to seize the opportunity to reclaim the nation’s future by voting for the NDC and John Dramani Mahama on December 7, 2024. “After sitting in opposition for eight years, Mahama cannot stand by and watch as our country is pushed a decade backward,” he asserted. “This is a tragic reality for our nation, and we must not allow a few individuals to plunge our economy into junk status.”

NDC Insight Urges Ghanaians Not to Reward NPP for Economic Mismanagement

Accra, Ghana – In a passionate plea to the Ghanaian populace, NDC Insight has called upon citizens to reconsider their support for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), led by President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in light of the severe economic damage inflicted on the nation.

Dr. Sorkpah highlighted the staggering $11.5 billion borrowed from Eurobonds between 2018 and 2021, funds that could have addressed nearly all of Ghana’s infrastructure needs. “Despite this excessive borrowing, we find ourselves in a dire situation with no significant advancements to show for it,” he lamented.

Dr. Sorkpah concluded with a message of hope, stating, “There is light at the end of the tunnel. NDC Insight believes that under Mahama’s leadership, Ghana can once again become the shining star of Africa. Nature and history will hold accountable those who have destroyed the livelihoods of Ghanaians, both present and unborn.”

NDC Insight calls on all Ghanaians to reflect on the past and to make a conscious choice for a better future.
