Disqualified presidential candidate Apea-Danquah sues EC

Samuel Apea-Danquah, popularly known as “Yellow Ghana,” has filed a lawsuit against the Electoral Commission (EC) following his disqualification from the upcoming presidential race.

Apea-Danquah was among 11 candidates disqualified by the EC due to irregularities in their nomination forms.

In a motion filed on Thursday, which was obtained by Citi News, Apea-Danquah is seeking a court order (certiorari) to overturn the EC’s decision.

He is also seeking an order of mandamus to compel the EC to reinstate him as a valid presidential candidate for the 2024 general elections.
