How can you claim we are a violent party whiles nobody died in elections when we were in power – Prof Opoku Agyeman ask NPP.

Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 elections, has challenged the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) on its claims that the NDC is a violent party.

She posed a simple question, asking how the NPP could label the NDC as violent when no deaths occurred in elections organized under the NDC’s leadership while they were in office.

Speaking to the people of Koforidua, the capital of the Eastern Region, during a two-day tour, she emphasized that voting today is based on development, not family ties or party affiliations.

She urged the people of the region to vote massively for John Dramani Mahama in this year’s elections, stressing that the NPP has failed to deliver on their promises.

According to her, most of the monumental projects in the region were completed under NDC administrations, even though the region had not historically supported the party.

Opoku-Agyemang visited most of the 33 constituencies in the region during her tour and expressed hope that her message resonated with the people, encouraging them to choose the NDC for better development.

She also called for unity within the NDC as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
