(Audio) We are the only private institution that trains health professionals – KLINTAPS college CEO.

Professor Philip Narteh Gorleku, the CEO of KLINTAPS College of Health and Allied Sciences, emphasized that KLINTAPS is the only private university college in Ghana specializing solely in the training of health professionals, without incorporating non-health programs.

Currently, the college offers six accredited health-related programs, including medical sonography, radiography, community nutrition, clinical dietetics, medical laboratory science, and more.

Speaking at the school’s 3rd annual health week durbar, held at their Klagon campus in the Tema West Municipality, Prof. Gorleku highlighted the importance of aligning their efforts with national health goals and trends to make a meaningful impact.

This year’s theme, “Good Health and Wellbeing for All: Your Diet is Your Health,” reflects their focus on promoting health through community engagement.

The college engages in various community service activities, such as clean-up exercises, health symposiums, and screenings. They also offer subsidized diagnostic services through their state-of-the-art diagnostic center, making healthcare accessible to the community.

The annual event concludes with a durbar and an alumni homecoming.

Prof. Gorleku called on the government and stakeholders to support institutions like KLINTAPS, noting the critical role of health professionals in addressing the nation’s healthcare needs.
