“Technology Has Made Music Creation So Easy Nowadays” – Goodies Music Shares Insight

The CEO of Goodies Music, a prominent label known for nurturing emerging talent in the Ghanaian music industry, highlighted the revolutionary role of technology in enabling artists and producers to create, distribute, and share their work more easily than ever before.

In an interview with Obaapa Janee on Ahotor mmre, the CEO discussed the impact of modern tools, stating, “Technology has made music creation so accessible nowadays. Tasks that previously took days or weeks in the studio can now be accomplished in hours with the right equipment.

With just a laptop, a microphone, and some software, anyone can produce a track from their bedroom.” Gone are the days when musicians relied on expensive studio time to record a hit. Today’s creators have a wide range of digital audio workstations (DAWs), apps, and plug-ins that empower them to mix, master, and distribute their work independently.

According to Goodies Music, this shift has democratized music, allowing unsigned artists to bypass traditional industry gatekeepers. “While this opens up more opportunities for fresh talent, it also means the competition is fiercer than ever,” Goodies Music explained. “With so many people now able to make music, standing out takes more than just technology – you still need talent, creativity, and an understanding of what your audience wants.” Goodies Music also stressed the importance of balance.

While technology has removed many barriers, they believe the essence of music still lies in human emotion, experience, and artistry. “At the end of the day, it’s not about the software or the gadgets. It’s about the heart and soul you put into your music.”

In addition to the current advancements, emerging technologies such as AI-generated beats and virtual reality concerts are reshaping the music industry.

The future of music creation and performance is poised to reach heights that artists only dreamed of a few years ago.

“We’ve entered an era where the sky’s the limit,” they said. “Technology has given artists wings, but it’s up to them to decide how high they want to fly,” he added.
