Electoral Commission Declines Live Broadcast Proposal but Confirms Meeting with NDC

The Electoral Commission remains fully committed to conducting free, fair, transparent, peaceful, and credible elections. However, we regret to inform you that we are unable to accommodate the proposal for a live broadcast of the upcoming meeting. We are, nonetheless, prepared to meet with your team at the agreed time.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing in response to your letter dated 4th September 2024, reference number NDC/HQ/E/69/VOL/30.

The Commission is ready to address the discrepancies identified by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Provisional Voters Register.

As you are aware, the purpose of the Voters Exhibition Exercise is to correct any discrepancies in the Register, including missing names, misplaced voters, and duplicate images, among others. The identification of these discrepancies by your party is a standard part of the process, and we welcome it as it contributes to the accuracy and credibility of the Register in preparation for the 2024 General Election.

We look forward to discussing these matters with you in our upcoming meeting.
