My acting career is not dead – Prince David Osei

Popular Ghanaian actor and NPP member Prince David Osei has addressed the speculations that his foray into politics is a result of his acting career slowing down.

During an interview with GHOne TV, Prince David Osei confidently dismissed these claims, describing them as “jokes.” He emphasized that he has been actively involved in filming and has several upcoming projects in the pipeline.

Regarding his involvement in more Nigerian movies than Ghanaian productions, Prince David Osei candidly explained that Ghanaian producers are unable to meet his financial expectations, which has led to his appearances in more Nigerian projects.

He revealed that due to monetary constraints, he sometimes does favors for directors in the Ghanaian film industry. According to him, the disparity in compensation plays a significant role in his career choices. Additionally, Prince David Osei reiterated his staunch support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), clarifying that his allegiance to the party is driven by personal conviction rather than financial gain.

He made it clear that supporting the NPP is not motivated by money, recognition, or any form of compensation. He emphasized that his commitment to the party is solely based on his belief in its principles and policies.

Earlier this year, Prince David Osei openly endorsed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the 2024 presidential election, signaling his unwavering support for the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer.

This endorsement drew attention when he shared a photo featuring himself with Dr. Bawumia, highlighting his public endorsement and active participation in the political sphere.
