Former NDC Chairman Dr. Ofosu Ampofo Expresses Gratitude at Thanksgiving Service for Academic and Health Milestones
The Former National Chairman of the NDC, Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, expressed deep gratitude to God, friends, and family during a Thanksgiving service held at the PIWC Sakumono branch of the Church of Pentecost. The event celebrated his attainment of a doctorate degree and his recovery from a near-fatal surgery abroad.
Dr. Ampofo shared his harrowing experience of enduring significant health challenges and severe pain while pursuing his doctoral studies at GIMPA in Accra. He recounted the difficulties he faced during his illness and the perseverance required to complete his program.
In his address, Dr. Ampofo praised NDC flagbearer H.E. Former President John Mahama for his invaluable support during his illness, which lasted nearly a year. He also extended his thanks to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, the former president’s brother, for providing financial assistance to cover his medical expenses during critical emergency treatment abroad.
Dr. Ampofo acknowledged the timely support from colleagues and lecturers, which was crucial for completing his thesis and project work during the final stages of his dissertation defense.
Bishop Samuel Mensah, PhD, who delivered the sermon at the Thanksgiving service, urged the youth of Ghana to remain focused, set goals, and prioritize their efforts to make their lives meaningful. He encouraged them to stay resolute and steadfast in their faith, pushing beyond their comfort zones to achieve their full potential. Bishop Mensah emphasized the importance of hard work and continuous relevance in a competitive job market.
Family members, staff of Universal Multimedia Company Limited, and NDC members attended the service to offer their moral support and encouragement. They expressed their delight and admiration for Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo’s academic achievement, celebrating his graduation with a doctorate degree.
