NDC manifesto launch: We’ll separate the ‘area boys from the men’ – Sammy Gyamfi

National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) , Sammy Gyamfi has described the party’s manifesto launch as an event that will reset Ghana from the current economic and financial mismanagement.

Speaking to media from the launch grounds at the University of Education, Winneba, Sammy Gyamfi said the party’s manifesto will also help differentiate the NDC from the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto which he said is full of lies.

He also denied allegations that the NDC plagiarised the NPP’s manifesto which was launched in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18.

“You will get to know whether [NDC plagiarised NPP’s manifesto] that is true or not in a couple of minutes. You will see the difference between the NDC and the NPP today and we are separating the area boys from the men and we are separating the truth from the lies.”

A visually impaired supporter of the NDC also questioned the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s credibility and the viability of his promises to Ghanaians.

“Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has collapsed jobs that belonged to persons with disabilities. The tollbooths are no longer working and the cost of living is very high and life has become hard for persons with disabilities.

“Bawumia is not someone who promises and delivers. If Dr. Bawumia says good morning, you must have to watch the sun to see if the sun is actually high because he has made several promises that he has not been able to deliver.”
