Kwabena Obeng Darko, a financial coach and Entrepreneur, has emphasized that obtaining financial freedom as a young Ghanaian does not necessarily require a formal certificate.
According to Mr. Obeng Darko, the key to overcoming poverty lies in acquiring valuable skills that can be exchanged for money.
During an interview on Ahotor FM’s morning show ‘Adekyee Mu Nsem,’ hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu, he stressed the importance of income in achieving financial independence, noting that financial freedom is not something that can be attained through mere wishes or hopes.
Mr. Obeng Darko urged the youth to develop a solid plan for managing their finances, highlighting the dangers of relying on superstitions when it comes to money.
He pointed out that budgeting is a crucial aspect of financial success, explaining that every successful person has a well-structured plan for their finances, and understanding money is a form of knowledge.
He also warned that money has the power to control those who are emotionally weak.
“If you’re not emotionally strong, money will control you,” he remarked.
He further advised Ghanaian youth to take full responsibility for their financial decisions, noting that many people lack a strong sense of responsibility when it comes to managing money.
In summary, Mr. Obeng Darko’s message to the youth is clear: focus on acquiring skills, develop a solid financial plan, and take control of your financial destiny.
