The Mahama verses Bawumia debate: This government is bereft of ideas – Malik Basintale.

Malik Basintale, the Deputy National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed his view that the current administration lacks the capacity to effectively govern, which is why they are avoiding a debate between John Mahama and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to Basintale, the NDC is introducing a 24-hour economy policy aimed at revitalizing the economy and creating jobs, particularly for the youth.

He noted that the party has already engaged with the Trade Union Congress and other labor-related stakeholders to explain the policy, which has been well-received due to its potential benefits.

Basintale criticized the ruling NPP for failing Ghanaians, accusing them of shifting the political discourse to irrelevant topics such as age, rather than presenting substantive plans.

He emphasized that the NDC is ready to implement its policies effectively, even if it requires cutting costs to benefit the nation.

In his closing remarks, he urged Ghanaians to vote for the NDC in the upcoming December polls, asserting that the ruling NPP has failed to deliver meaningful progress for the country and lacks any significant plans for the future.
