Former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Yaa Akyenpim Jantuah, has openly criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government led by President Akufo-Addo.
She called for Ghanaians to vote them out in the upcoming elections, asserting that the administration has failed the country.
In a pointed remark, she noted that even the party’s flagbearer, who is also the chairman of the economic management team, seems to be distancing himself from the policies he once supported, now claiming that he needs to be elected president to fix the country’s issues.
Nana Yaa Jantuah also referenced the uncompleted National Cathedral project, suggesting that the government’s failure even extends to promises made to God.
She urged Ghanaians to demonstrate their power and remove the NPP from office, accusing the party of taking the country for granted.
Her comments follow President Akufo-Addo’s recent plea for Ghanaians to support his party’s flagbearer in the upcoming elections.
