The Minority Caucus in Parliament is seeking information on the prices of road construction equipment under the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP).
The programme launched on Wednesday, July 31, aims to address road maintenance challenges by collaborating with Metropolitans, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) and equipping them with earth-moving equipment.
In a statement signed by Mahama Ayariga, Ranking Member of the Committee on Information and Communication, the Minority requested price information under section 18 of the Rights to Information Act, 2019 (Act 989).
They are demanding the cost of each unit of equipment procured for DRIP, the payment schedule for the equipment, and the total payment made for the equipment as of now, amongst others.
