At the 2024 campaign kickoff of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Zanetor Rawlings MP for Korle Klottey, gave a strong speech about the big problem of corruption and why we need to protect the voting process.
“Corruption poses our greatest challenge,” Zenator Rawlings told a fired-up crowd at Jubilee Park. “Once we take office, we’ll adopt a no-nonsense approach to corruption. Opaque hiring and other government processes must end. The NPP government seems to think money can buy anyone, but we need to resist this idea.”
Zenator Rawlings stressed how crucial it is to guard the ballot box in the upcoming December 7th, 2024 elections. She urged every NDC member to play a part in making sure the voting process stays fair and secure.
“Everyone has a job to protect the ballot box,” she stressed. “From local branches to the national office, we all need to work together to gain power and keep the Fourth Republic safe. We can’t let money sway us. If the NPP didn’t make much progress in seven years, what can they do in just four months?”
Her words struck a chord with NDC supporters, who showed their dedication to democracy and fighting corruption.
The NDC campaign launch showed the party’s commitment to tackle deep-rooted problems and push for openness and responsibility in government. As the 2024 elections draw near, the party is gearing up its members and backers to make sure the voting process stays clean and free from tampering.
Zenator Rawlings’ call to arms acts as a wake-up call for the NDC and its supporters to stay alert and take action when faced with obstacles reinforcing their pledge to a just and democratic Ghana.
She laid out the NDC’s campaign strategy as they try to secure victory in the upcoming elections and put their plan for a corruption-free government into action.
