Two-time Olympic gold medalist and four-time NBA champion LeBron James has been chosen as the men’s standard bearer for the Olympics Opening Ceremony in Paris. The four-time NBA champion will be competing in his Fourth Olympics.
James expressed that it is a privilege to represent the USA on the global stage, viewing it as a duty to his teammates and fellow athletes at the Olympics. A female counterpart will be selected to accompany James in carrying the USA flag, with the flag bearers being chosen by their peers in the team.
The USA basketball team will be facing off against 61 NBA players from various countries in the Olympic competition.
