Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, the Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo, expressed disappointment over the incident that disrupted the memorial service for the late President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills at Asomdwee Park on Wednesday, July 24.
Speaking to Ahotor News, Vanderpuye described the incident as “unwarranted.”
Confusion arose when Koku Anyidoho, the former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), exceeded his allotted time, causing delays for the subsequent event organized by the NDC and the JEA Mills Memorial Heritage.
Mercy Araba Ahema Quarshie, the late President’s sister, and Samuel Atta Mills, the MP for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem and brother of the late President, condemned Anyidoho’s actions, stating that he would face consequences.
They spoke to Ahotor News about the matter.
