The USA Basketball men’s team defeated the reigning world champions, Germany, in a pre-Olympic tournament held in London. The victory was spearheaded by LeBron James, who contributed 20 points to the USA team’s triumph. Supporting him were Joel Embiid with 15 points, Stephen Curry with 13, and Anthony Edwards with 11.
The American team concluded their exhibition matches with an impeccable 5-0 record, although only one game proved to be a straightforward victory. This game was against Serbia, the upcoming opponent for the U.S. in the first Olympic match for both teams this summer.
James showcased his prowess by scoring the final 11 points for the American team, propelling the four-time Olympic gold medalists to a narrow 92-88 victory over the formidable World Cup champions, Germany, in London.
Furthermore, the illustrious Los Angeles Lakers star will have the honour of serving as the flag bearer for the USA men’s team during the grand opening of the Olympics in Paris.
