Insisting that Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal should take home the 2024 Ballon d’Or is Frank Leboeuf, a former Chelsea defender.
Leboeuf believes that because Carvajal won every trophy this year, he should be the recipient of the Ballon d’Or instead of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., and Rodri.
He claims that no one likes him because the Spanish defender doesn’t score many goals.
Leboeuf stated, speaking on ESPNFC, that:
“Carvajal has triumphed over everything. If Bellingham or Vinicius wins, we will have to refer to it as the forward Ballon d’Or. Vini won the league and the Champions League, but he struggled in the Copa America. Bellingham performed poorly in the Euros.
“And then there are these two guys: Rodri, who was the best player in the European Championship, won the Premier League, but he did not win the Champions League.
“And Carvajal, who is disliked by all because he lacks [many goals].”
“He is the right-back of our day, shady, cunning, or whatever, but he came out on top.”

The 2024 Ballon d’Or will be awarded in October.
