Ahotor 92.3 FM Launches Academic Showdown: Battle of the Brains for Basic Schools
Ahotor 92.3 FM is thrilled to announce the launch of its Radio Quiz Tournament for basic schools, beginning Saturday, July 13. Titled “Ahotor FM’s Academic Showdown: Battle of the Brains,” this event promises to deliver an exciting competition.
Organized in collaboration with the Tema West Municipal Education Directorate, the quiz will feature 22 basic schools from the municipality. Rev. Emmanuel K. A. Appiah, Training Officer at the Directorate, expressed optimism that the tournament will encourage healthy academic competition among Junior Secondary Schools in the area. He emphasized Ahotor FM’s corporate social responsibility in promoting excellence in sciences and related subjects.
Sinomie Instant Noodles, the primary sponsor, has generously supported this initiative, recognizing its significance in educational development and community engagement.
During an interview on Ahotor FM’s Adekyee Mu Nsem morning show hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu in Accra, the Marketing Executive Wisdom Yaw Kpoglo of Meister Foods and Drinks Company, producer of Sinomie Noodles, highlighted the product’s popularity in the Ghanaian market and its export success to over 30 countries across the globe. He praised Sinomie Noodles for its simplicity, various packaging styles, delicious flavors, and versatility in cooking methods, making it a favorite in Ghana.
Ahotor FM’s Programs Manager, Alex Nana Dogbey, underscored the quiz competition’s objective to enhance students’ learning skills and aptitude in Science, Mathematics, English, and Social Studies. He reiterated that the initiative is part of the station’s commitment to using radio as an educational tool to foster healthy academic competition among schools in the Tema West Metropolis.
Marketing Manager Selase Adzoeoda expressed gratitude to Sinomie Noodles for their support and encouraged other corporate entities to join in supporting the program. He emphasized that such collaborations would prepare schools for future academic challenges and contribute positively to educational development.
