Baffour Gyan Advises Ex-Kotoko Goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad on His Career After Asante Kotoko Exit
Former Black Stars and Kumasi Asante Kotoko player , Baffour Gyan has offered brotherly advice to for Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad following his departure from the club.
In an interview on another platform , Baffour Gyan emphasized the importance of resilience and staying focused amidst the uncertainties that come with such transitions and reminded Danlad that leaving a club like Asante Kotoko, where expectations and pressures are high, can be daunting. However, it also presents a unique opportunity for growth and reinvention.
Gyan advised Danlad to consider his long-term career goals and to seek a club that aligns with his ambitions. Whether it’s gaining more playing time, moving to a more competitive league, or securing a financially rewarding contract, making strategic career decisions is essential.
Danlad joined Asante Kotoko in 2016 as a teenager and went on to win multiple trophies with the club under various coaches. He eventually established himself as the primary goalkeeper for the record holders of the Ghana Premier League.
However, his performance declined in the last two seasons, leading to him losing favor with his coaches who preferred Frederick Asare instead but parted ways with Asante Kotoko after the 2023/24 season ended.
