Ghana’s 4x 100m Relay Team Outpaces Nigeria To Win The Gold Medal At African Championship In Cameroon

The Ghana men’s 4×100 relay team delivered an electrifying performance that saw them secured the gold medal at the African Athletics Championship in Cameroon over their Nigerian rivals.

The race was highly anticipated, with both Ghana and Nigeria boasting strong relay teams. However, the Ghanaian quartet made of Ibrahim Fuseini who started the race , handed over to Isaac Botsio who sprintered to his elastic limit, passed it on to Edwin Gadayi who flew like a bird and handed over to Abdul Rasheed Saminu who executed the final race flawlessly. The Ghanaian relay team improved on smooth baton exchanges and explosive speed in the final stretch, which proved decisive in securing their victory.

Ghana men’s 4x100m relay team made a time of 38.63s whiles the Nigeria counter-part made a time of 38.84s to secure the Gold medal . This win not only brings pride to Ghana but also underscores the country’s growing prowess in track and field events. It reflects the team’s hard work, strategic planning, and the relentless pursuit of excellence by the athletes and their coaching staff.
